Bill Clinton: My relative did not influence the pardon decision. I can explain everything. The money has been returned. There was nothing illegal about that pardon. I didn't even know about this pardon. That pardon had nothing to do with getting votes. There's a perfectly good explaination. There was nothing improper about that pardon. That particular pardon was decided on its merits. That pardon had nothing to do with those campaign contributions. I wasn't at the meeting about the pardon. I'm outraged to learn this about that pardon. I didn't know a thing about that pardon. Toles: Now where are the earplugs. At last, the Clintons disappear from the view.
