The "fight for $15" movement began in 2012, when 200 fast-food workers in NYC walked off the job. The push for a $15 federal minimum wage gained momentum when Bernie Sanders made it a center of his campaigns. His rivals did the same in 2020. Finally, Joe Biden quietly added it to his 2021 coronavirus stimulus package. By which time $15/hour was worth... (Man: $9.50 an hour!) (Man 2: Thanks, benevolent millionaire politicians!) The ARC of politics is long, but it bends toward backwards. (Man 1: Now we need $25/hour) (Woman 2: Which we'll get in 10 years, when it's worth $14!
