Judge Amy Coney Barrett holds extreme religious views. (Man: You believe in speaking in tongues"? You belong to a group that lurves pregnant women with nonexistent abortion services?) But religion is considered out of bounds in confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominees. (Man: Hi. Just Hi.) Unless religion is not Christianity. (Man: As a Muslim, you don't eat pork? How can we trust the judgment of someone who refuses bacon for some "God"?) But if it's Christianity, anything goes. (Woman: If "God" asks me to stab my son to death, I'm good with that.) (Man: Totally non-psycho and confirmable!)
