In 2013 Bernie Sanders proposed a $15/hour minimum wage. He and most of the other democratic presidential candidates are pushing $15/hour for 2021. But $15/hour in 2013 is about $21/hour* now if inflation remains consistent, it'll be $23/hour by 2021. Plus, congress will probably scale up to the full $15/hour over a few years... by which time that $15 in 2013 will be $27 or so. So if Bernie and his rivals get their way, you'll get $15/hour by 2024... when it's worth $7.25 in 2013 dollars... which is what the minimum wage was in 2013. In capitalism, the progressive is the one who slows down the rate at which you get porer.
