Survivors of California wild-fires are being told they'll have to wait at least 3 months for shelter. (Woman: Where should we go?) (Man: Yeah.) It's not like California doesn't have anyplace to house them. 2250,000 vacant lots and homes in SF & LA. 500,000 hotel rooms in California. 8 to 30% of houses in rural California are unoccupied vacation homes. The government doesn't want to take care of victims. They'd rather spend billions on war. Eat. cost of Afghanistan & Iraq wars as of 2017: $2.4 trillion. Cost of wars per day: $250 million. And without a but-for-the-grace-of-God underclass, workers might no longer be afraid to ask for raises. (Woman: This cartoon has no punchlines.) (Man: But capitalism does, you're it.)
