Narrator: Drones, explained. If foreigners enter our airspace without permission, we shoot them down. If they bomb our cities, it's: an act of war! If we enter foreign airspace to spy and bomb, it's self-defense. Man: We fight them there so we don't have to fight them here. Narrator: We can't see exactly who we're killing. So we assume certain behaviors- like loading trucks while male- is terroristic. These are called "signature strikes" We could use human U.S. soldiers to I.D. targets, but we value human life too much to risk them in the killing of foreigners. Man 2: What about the risk of radicalizing others? Man 3: They're over there- so they don't threaten us! Man 4: So why are we killing over there...?
