The U.S. doesn't have political parties. It has teams. (Woman: Torture? Bank bailouts?) (Man: It's ok if Bush does it.) Like sports fans, fans of the red and blue teams are fiercely loyal. (Man: Bank bailouts? Optional wars?) (Woman: If it's ok if Obama does it.) Their affiliations are the result of accidents of class and geography. (Man 2: I'm poor from the south. Go red!) (Man 3: I'm poor from the north. Go blue!) When there's a long losing streak, however, loyalties waver.
