After Mitt Romney woos evangelical Christians, Barack Obama reaches out to the influential bigot voting bloc. The constitution gives freedom of hatred - not freedom from hatred. In a speech that only mentions the word "black" once, Obama asks inbred hicks to focus on their common genetic ground. I may be half black. But I'm also half white! Vote for that half. Pointing to his public record as proof that he is independent of his blackness, Obama tells racists they need not fear him. As senator I never did squat to help black people! Reaction among racists is, like Obama, mixed. He's tolerant of my intolerance. I like that. David Duke should start a third party!
