Bush's incompetence and stupidity makes one long for Bill Clinton (Man: Hard to believe he was impeached.) (Woman: What a statesman! Now that's a president!) (Man: Sure, Clinton bombed Iraq. But he wasn't dumb enough to invade!) (Woman: And his lies were relatively innocuous.) Behold the phenomenon of presidential regression! (Man 2: Each new president is worse than the last.) Nixon, though evil and paranoid, was smarter than Ford, who had more dignity than Carter, whose unemployment rate beat Reagan, who acted more vigorous than Bush, etc. Presidential regression is no accident. It's written into the constitution. (Woman 2: I dunno, George. They'll be scraping the bottom of the barrel by 1840.) (Man 3: Yeah, but think how much they'll miss us!) In other words: (Man 1: The next one'll be worse than Bush?!) (Woman 1: Is that possible) (Television: President McCain says if meatcake was good enough for the Handi Hildon, it's good as our new national food!)
