The decline & fall of the Roman Empire. The trouble began when they took Gods out of the classroom. (Woman 1: How will children learn moral values without the guidance of Diana, Jupiter and Demeter?) (Man: We can't offend non-pagan parents.) Then so-called "civil libertarians" went after the judiciary. (Man 2: Years ago the oracle at Delphi would have indicated your guilt or innocence. Having nothing to go on now. I'm setting you free to loot and kill.) (Man 3: Thanks, yer honor!) Even sporting events were purged of the traditional prayer. (Man 3: What- no ritual sacrifice?) The last straw: They even banned religious holidays form the public square! (Man 4: You can still celebrate saturnalia- just not on the forum.) (Man 6: Forget it! If I can't kill a young pig on the solstice, I'd rather go Visigoth.
