Remember this classic voter complaint from 2000? (Television: We're ready to project a winner!) (Man: But the polls are still open here in California! Oh, well- I'll stay home.) This year, "early voting" made election day virtually irrelevant. (Woman: With key exit polls from early swing states now in from late October, we're ready to project a winner!) (Man: Go home, voters!) Naturally, efforts to solve the problem will be affected in the next few years. (Man 2: The key is to eliminate old-fashioned voting.) (Man 3: Make everyone vote early!) (Woman 2: Done deal.) One shudders at the thought. (Woman 1: We have projected presidents through 2036...wait 2040!) (Man: So how will Jenna Bush cope with the alien invasion of 2039?)
