Psychologists say that the arts have changed since the wild, imaginative '60s. Artists and writers no longer roam the universe or dream in colors. Now they've turned inward, keeping the action indoors and the topics personal. (Woman: I have always loved you.) (Man: But I suck!) The shrinks blame the new dark imagery on divorce, because kids with divorced parents can't focus on anything outside themselves. This leads to a culture of selfish introspection, compulsive egotism, frightening impulses of violence and abject depression. Cool!
