Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling Presents: News of the Times Political Price - War to Benefit Consumers Fierce pricing competition between the two political parties is expected to be a boon to consumers of political products throughout the fall. Ronald Eriksen, CEO of Glomco, Inc: Ronald: A rider to a bill...let's say an ENVIRONMENTAL EXEMPTION or a TAX LOOPHOLE...used to cost me a few million. Now I can get one for $500,000 easy! Democratic party spokesman Robert Hamelin: Robert: From LOW-LEVEL BRIBES to LOCAL OFFICIALS all the way up to the PRESIDENT'S EAR on an AIR FORCE ONE excursion...WE'RE SLASHING PRICES! DEMOCRAT '96 Republican party spokesman Peter DeFalco: Peter: Our prices are SO LOW, we're practically GIVING AWAY the public trust! Man: WE MUST BE INSANE!! Political industry analyst Jason Warner explains the price-war: Jason: As the differences between the parties disappear, and they both offer essentially the same political philosophy, consumers' price sensitivity becomes much greater. The leaders of the two parties squared off recently before an audience of CORPORATE AND LOBBYING EXECUTIVES. Man #1: The democrats may have matched our prices, but they can't offer the TOTAL COMMITMENT TO SELLING OUT that we do! Man #2: You can't beat the democrats for that "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT" attitude!
