Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling NRA Theater presents The Bill of Rights Debate Man #1: Ahem. I propose we change THE SECOND AMENDMENT language to make our intentions more clear. Man #2: How so, my good man? Man #1: The text currently reads: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to KEEP AND BEAR ARMS shall not be infringed." Man #1: Won't future generations think that this refers to the people's COLLECTIVE right to bear arms in a militia? Man #2: You, sir, are a FOOL and a CUR! It is CLEAR that the "well regulated militia" jazz is just a MEANINGLESS PREAMBLE to the heart of the matter -- the right of every individual to PACK HEAT! Crowd: Hear, hear! Man #1: Of COURSE that is our intention, but if you read... Man #3: HSS! Man #2: Silence, knave! Man #1: Very well, but may I make one more point? Man #2: If you must... Man #1: Our progeny could mistakenly think that because the most advanced weapons we know are SINGLE-SHOT FIREARMS, we only mean to grant the right to bear THOSE or similar arms! So, if we change the text to, "Any and all arms in any f...UHHN! POW Man #2: That dolt was boring me! It is obvious that we mean the right to include all weapons, including those of unimagined destructive capacity developed hundreds of years in the future! CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP The End
