Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling A MALTHUSIAN EXPERIMENT Man: It's based on a theory that goes back to the 19th century. Woman: Put mice in an enclosed environment with abundant resources. Man: With no checks on their survival, they begin reproducing rapidly, creating a population explosion. Woman: When the population reaches a breaking point, something interesting happens. Tan Mouse: There are too many of us and our activity is changing our environment! Grey Mouse: What are you talking about? There's nothing wrong, everything is fine! Grey Mouse: ...skeptic. Man: Same result as always. The entire colony died. Woman: Let's run the experiment again, but this time we don't give them Twitter...
