Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling Presents: News of the Times College Admissions Scandal Local Billionaire Caught In Bribery Scheme Prosecutors say that billionaire and philanthropist Hollingsworth Hound was caught bribing an official of the prestigious Coot University to admit his son. DISTRICT ATTORNEY BENNETT BEAGLE DA: It is essential that the public know that illegal bribery has no place in the pure meritocracy that governs our elite educational institutions! Mr. Hounds' attorneys quickly refuted the charge. Attorney: This is an outrageous accusation! Mr. Hound was merely bribing Coot University to admit his son! A video of the meeting emerged, and it shows the transaction started on fully legal grounds. 3:13 PM Hollingsworth Hound: Here is my $20 million donation to Coot University. Admissions: And here is Hollingsworth IV's admission letter. 3:14 PM But then the meeting took a brazen, shockingly illegal turn! Hollingsworth Hound: And here's $50 for your trouble. Go buy yourself something nice! Prosecutors were triumphant. Prosecutor: Just after the $20 million gift and admissions acceptance, Mr. Hound subverted all of higher education by paying an individual 50 bucks for favoritism! Hollingsworth Hound: I...er...wasn't bribing the University president! I was bribing the university! Honest! But after making a perfectly legal contribution to the DA's re-election campaign, Mr. Hound saw all charges against him coincidentally dropped! Hollingsworth Hound: The system works! I learned so much! Hollingsworth IV: No more tipping, right, pop?
