Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling Judge Scalia's Guide To Golf Hi, my name is Judge Scalia. You may know me as the crusading judge who travels the land doling out tough justice! But, like any other American, I like to relax on weekends. And for me, that means hitting the links! At my club, we have some unusual rules... But, heck, arbitrary rules are a part of any game. Of course, as an homage to bipedality, players must walk the course -- this tests my endurance and stamina! Judge: Come along, Jose. Now, on the first hole is a hearing test. If you don't pass the test, you're penalized ten strokes. Wacky, huh? At the second hole, or the "Melann Hole," if your skin pigment level is too high, club security escorts you off the course. Judge: Sorry, pal. I could go on and on, but you get the sense of the zany fun! Are these rules fanciful? Sure. Are they discriminatory? Perhaps. But that's part of the fun of the sporting life! Judge Scalia's Scoring Tip! If you're tallying stokes and discover a very close score, STOP COUNTING! That could undermine confidence in the final outcome. Instead, declare the REPUBLICAN competitor the victor and retire to the 19th hole for a vodka martini and a steak!
