Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling An Evening With Hollingsworth Hound Tonite: "Pros and Cons" Hound: I'd like to discuss how our society coddles and pampers the so-called "disadvantaged"! Hound: Take prostitution. Why is it illegal? Hound: They say it's to protect poor wretched souls from a degrading, exploitative transaction. Hound: Now, here's LUCKY DUCKELLA. She had an abusive childhood. Boo hoo! Hound: She's young, poor and desperate! Poor baby! Hound: So we invest the power of the state into criminal laws to protect her... Hound: ...from entering into a free market contract to perform a service! BAM Police: FREEZE! This is a BUST! Detective: You're free to go, sir. You've suffered enough! Hound: I should say so! Detective: But YOU'RE off to JAIL, sister! Police: MOVE IT! Hound: See?! The criminal justice system is all about protecting HER!! Lucky Duckella: Gotcha! The End
