Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling Presents: News of the Times U.S. Moon Base Set To Open Moon Mall Now Operational After 25 years and over a trillion dollars, the moon base is finally ready to open, and just in time for the holiday season. The grand opening was delayed by some inventory shortages, but the Body Shop is now fully stocked, and the Orange Julius is mission-ready. Julius The Body NASA's director of Lunar Retail Strategy is elated. Director: Those who said there was no purpose to setting up a base on the moon will look pretty silly when Banana Republic has its "clean sweep" sale! NASA The C.E.O. of Halliburtexxon, the company that got the contract to build the base, issued a statement from his palace. Dick Cheney: Two trillion dollars is a worthwhile investment. We're exporting capitalism into the solar system! And look what captialism's done for me! Dennis Brown, a NASA-trained ARC*, was chosen to be placed at the moon base to actually purchase the products offered. Dennis: "..Does... ...this...come...in large?" *Astronautical Retail Consumer We're ready to witness the first transaction at the Lunar Mall. Starbucks Dennis: One tall latte for a man, one grande frappuccino for mankind. Woman: Does mankind want whipped cream on that? LIVE
