Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling Larry Dodson An American Master 3:32 I came upon Dodson at 1:38 AM, just in time to witness an artistic breakthrough. 3:35 He is sleeping soundly, and emitting a soft rhythmic wheeze. 3:59 Absolutely captivating. I could watch this for hours. Dodson has again transformed the banal into the realm of genius. 4:02 The piece plays provocatively with our perception of time, consciousness and drool puddles. 4:05 And the fact that he didn't even expect anyone to witness this performance makes it all the more profound. 4:06: if I hadn't broken into his home to see...wait...he's stirring...this may be IT! 4:06 YES! THE SHOW'S CLIMACTIC CODA! Patrick Heinz, Art Critic Patrick: The startled awakening...the beating with a clock radio...the summoning of the police. Dodson has once again shown why he's the most important artist of the 21st century. NEXT: Dodson releases "The Restraining Order, 06-01775", and MoMA and the Tate Museum start a bidding war.
