The most wrong man in the world There once was a man who said things that turned out to be wrong. Bush: We;ll have a ten-year federal surplus of $5.6 trillion! At first, it seemed as if he might just be unlucky or even foolish. Bush: My plan will create 5.4 million new jobs in 18 months. But as he continued to be demonstrably, breathtakingly, disastrously wrong all the time... Bush: Saddam has W.M.D.s! We know it! ...it became clear that he was simply THE MOST WRONG MAN IN THE WORLD. Bush: The Iraqis will greet us as liberators. Even things he said in response to being wrong turned out to be wrong. Bush: I never said that I wasn't worried about Osama bin Laden. Just when it seemed his spectacular streak of wrongness would ruin him... Bush: We're turning the corner in Iraq. ...He had a great idea! An October Surprise: Bush: Ahem... John Kerry will win. And he learned that steadfast, consistent wrongness has its advantages. Justice: Wrong again. Bush: I know.
