Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling Did You Know? This week -- FOREIGNERS People often forget that the world is full of OTHER COUNTRIES, each with its own charming and distinctive culture! (Except Canada.) Join the fun as we use FOREIGNERS as a source of AMUSING TRIVIA! The Eskimos have DIFFERENT WORDS to describe various things and ideas! They are kept track of in a "thesaurus." The population of China is 1.2 billion. What does that mean? If you piled a dollar bill for each Chinese person, that stack of money would be worth $1.2 BILLION! Before Antonio Banderas became a CELEB, he was a Spanish person! The Japanese regard AMERICANS as "foreigners"! Get a clue! Who eats raw fish?! The Burmese culture has NO CONCEPT of football! The country of BELGIUM is held, as a hobby, in the backyard of a 12-year-old! Australians learned our LANGUAGE in order to watch our TV SHOWS...which they get months late! Man: Hey, mate. Dy'a think Chandler will marry Monica? FRIENDS MARKETING MIX-UP! The "Big Mac" was McDonald's worst-selling item in India when they realized that its name translated to: "Flesh of Sacred Being." Sales skyrocketed when it was renamed "Hindu Vegetable Sandwich"!
