Plucky: Hi! My name is plucky Panda! I'ma cartoon character created in 1923 by Werner Vingo. Vingo studios used me in various wholesom animated shorts. This year, my 75-year copyright expired, and I entered into the public domain! LEt me tell you about the public domain...it sucks. On the day I was thrown into public domain, resentful cartoon characters were waiting for me. Any shmoe with a bic can draw me, without any regard to my integrity! Look at this! It's hell, lemme tell ya - they can have me dow wome pretty unseemly things! And they can even draw me smiling through the whole experience! Now, unless the copyright law is changed, the same thing is due to happen to America's beloved M*ckey M*use in just a couple years. Mickey Mouse: Write your congressman, kids! The Adventures of Plucky Panda.
