Rose is still dressed in old-fashioned clothes, as she uses her phone, which is now an old-time telephone with a crank. She says, "Operator, this is an emergency! My brain circuitry is not Y2K compliant...". Rose continues, "I'm perceiving the world as though the year were 1900." From below, a voice says, "Momma?" Looking down, Rose says, "Not now, Pasquale, I'm ... I'm...". Her eyes grow wide. Pasquale stands next to his mother's feet, with slicked-back hair and Victorian clothes. He thinks, "She always gets upset when I interrupt her phone calls, but I never made her FAINT before!"
