Charlie Brown and Peppermint Patty are leaning against either side of a tree. In this panel, they are in silhouette. Charlie Brown says, "And then she'd kind of grin.."<BR><BR> He sighs.<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty says, "I'm worried about you, Chuck."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty looks straight ahead. She says, "Yes, I'm worried that you're living too much in the past...you haven't seen that little red-haired girl for over a year, and yet you keep talking about her."<BR><BR> Pepperint Patty sits up and looks at Charlie Brown. He says, "Maybe I'm living in the future...Maybe that's what we call 'hope'...or maybe I'm just too wishy-washy to forget her..."<BR><BR> They are silhouetted again in this panel. Peppermint Patty sits up straight, facing away from Charlie Brown. She says, "I don't know, Chuck...I just hate to see you always living in the past...of course, I'd hate to see you only living in the future, too..."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty looks out and says, "Maybe, as they always say, the truth lies somewhere in-between.."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty eans back against the side of the tree once more. charlie Brown comments, "The truth is just as wishy-washy as I am!"<BR><BR>
