"I have to admit it..." says Peppermint Patty to Charlie Brown as they walk.<BR><BR> They sit next to each other under a tree. Peppermint Patty wraps her arms around her knees.<BR><BR> "I'm not beautiful, Chuck..."<BR><BR> "Do you think I'm not beautful because I'm being punished for something I did in a former life?" "Well, I" Charlie Brown begins.<BR><BR> "Don't say anything, Chuck..I know I''m not beautiful..don't say anything.." A leaf drifts towards the ground.<BR><BR> "Say something, Chuck." "What?" They look at each other.<BR><BR> "I mean, maybe it's wrong to complain about not being beautiful..." Peppermint Patty holds her hand to her chin.<BR><BR> "Do you think it's wrong, Chuck?" Peppermint Patty looks at Charlie Brown. "Well, I..." Charlie Brown stares straight ahead. [PANEL 10]: "I suppose you just think I'm being kind of silly..you know..."<BR><BR> [PANEL 11]: "Do you think I'm being silly, Chuck? Do you?" Peppermint Patty persists. She does not see the World War I Flying Ace, who stands just behind her. "Uh..well, I.." mumbles Charlie Brown.<BR><BR> [PANEL 12]: SMAK! Snoopy kisses Peppermint Patty. [PANEL 12]: "I'm glad you came along, Snoopy.. talking with Chuck isn't very satisfying.." Peppermint Patty confides as she walks off arm in arm with Snoopy. Charlie Brown slumps against the tree. He sighs.<BR><BR>
