Schroeder and Linus surround Charlie Brown and Lucy, who argue. He says, "Boy, you sure talk a lot!" She retorts, "Yeah, well I'm not ALL talk like SOME poeple I know!"<br> <br> "Good grief, how do I get into these things?" he asks. "DO YOU WANNA PUT 'EM UP?" Lucy starts to spar.<br> <br> She taunts him: "C'mon, Charlie Brown, let's see what you're made of!"<br> <br> "C'mon, put 'em up, here! What's the matter with you? Put 'em up!" Lucy throws some punches. Charlie Brown stands with his back to her, hanging his head.<br> <br> He sits on the ground and thinks black thoughts. Lucy walks away, smiling. Schroeder and Linus watch her leave.<br> <br> Linus watches her: "You should have slugged her, Charlie Brown! Even if she is my sister, I say you should have slugged her!" Schroeder turns to look at him. Charlie Brown sits on the ground with his back to them.<br> <br> Schroeder turns to Linus and explains, "You don't understand, Linus... Charlie Brown did a very admirable thing..he would never think of hitting a girl, so he deliberately humiliated himself to hold onto his high moral standards!"<br> <br> They turn to Charlie Brown: "Isn' that right, Charlie Brown?" Schroeder prompts. He turns around and looks up at them: "No, I was just afraid of getting beat up!" he admits.<br> <br>
