Joe: What's the matter, Danae? Danae: I lost a spelling bee on a stupid technicality. The word was "inedible", so after I asked for the definition, I logically said... U-N-E-A-T-A-B-L-E uneatable! ...Which I think makes a lot more sense! Gah! Words are stupid! ...Stupid...Stu-u-u-pid...I mean, where does even that word come from?! Joe: Interesting story, actually. It dates back to a man named Stuart Pidd, who made the first airtight can to preserve food. But he couldn't figure out how to easily open it, so he gave up. After he died, his revolutionary cans were found and the can opener was soon invented...along with a new word. *swerk* Danae: Heh-heh. Groan. That's so stupid... Um...wait...what was I talking about? Joe: You're welcome.
