Ordinary Basil It was all over now. The tide was turned on Von Rottweil's plan, and an eerie calm replaces the din of battle. Professor McGookin signals Louise to bring Harriet closer to the airship, then breaks the quiet air with his soothing baritone as he calls out to Basil, "Come, dear boy. Time to take you home." As the clouds of dust rise and spread out, Basil gets a glimpse of what was a formidable arms factory just a moment ago, now laid to waste along with Von Rottweil's army of mechanized soldiers. The devastation by the professor's thermablat is complete. Then in his grandfatherly manner, the professor turns his attention to Louise. "And you, young lady, need to get back to Helios!" "Yes sir," she flatly responds, then perks up with an idea. "Can we take Basil to see Monkey Island first? It's on the way!" The professor turns and looks down. Basil has fallen sound asleep.
