Man: it's come to my attention that surreptitious editorializing has been appearing in a growing number of comic strips lately, and we don't like that one bit: I thought comics were supposed to be silly! We want to assure you, our valued readers, that these unauthorized commentaries do not reflect the views of this newspaper or our image! Serious editorializing is best left to serious people, not journalism's equivalent of snarky malcontents sitting in the back of the classroom making rudy body function noises. Money: In fact, I have it on good authorty that the "genius" who produces this dimwit feature barely made it through high school, and is... um... Man: ...a real horse's patoot! Lucy: What does he mean by that? I have a rather cute patootie. Danae: Hey, I'm still trying to figure out which one of us is Snippy or Skippy... We'll return to the adventures of Snippy and Skippy, or whatever the name of this stupid feature is, after this disclaimer by the publisher of this fine newspaper.
