Homer: Gasp A girl! Obey the church...or save the girl? What was your crime against the church? Girl: I said no to the bishop. Homer in the Dark Ages. It's been more than 2 centuries since the collapse of the Roman Empire. Throughout the European continent, small kingdoms violently rise and fall as mankind struggles to survive and civilize itself. Monarchs rule the land and the people on it, but the monarchs are ruled by the strict hand of the Church. The real power is behind the throne, which is quietly controlled by the Bishops. The authority of the Bishops is absolute and goes unchallenged. Homer, now 15, is about to find out why as he spots something unusual on the rocks just offshore... When Homer got cloer, he was shocked to see it was... But before he'd risk his life, Homer wanted to know... Next week: No good deed goes unpunished.
