Artist Note It's Labor Day, and, in the spirit of taking it easy, I have decided to use today's comic to share some time-saving artistic tricks that I've learned over the course of my career. Please... Enjoy! None of the furniture I draw is actually 3-D. Everything that looks like furniture is actually a drawing of a cardboard cutout of that furniture. Most people cannot tell the difference. What you see What I drew I don't aim for photorealism in my comics. For instance, while dogs have over ten thousand hairs per square inch of fur, I drew only two thousand white lines to color in the below Poochie. Of course, even with all of these shortcuts, I would never copy and paste in a five!! I admit it!! Copied a polkadot into this Nancy from the April 5th comic!! Aghm just look at it, it's so obvious.
