Nancy debuted in the comic strip Fritzi Ritz by Ernie Bushmiller in 1933. Fritzi adopted her orphaned niece, who soon became the star. The strip's name changed to Nancy in 1938. We're ringing in the New Year with the hisotry of Nancy! Nancy says, "Rollo is quite rich---And at times a 'show-off'---but since the 1940's---the kind of friend money can't buy---" Nancy says, "Rollo had a special dog house built for his new pup" Sluggo says, "Why?" Nancy says, "He's a pedigreed dog" Nancy says, "---With a very long name" Royal Prince Victor Rudolph III
