"I was wise when I was five I'd figured out my life. I knew exactly what I'd be: Teacher, doctor, wife. I knew how many cats I'd have And what I'd name my horse And how I'd wear my hair (In a ponytail, of course). The world was like a stage to me I loved to play the parts! Curtain up! Light the lights! I knew my lines by heart. But when I became a teen My life stopped making sense. The lights went out, the curtain fell I lost my confidence. And now I only know one thing Here behind my curtain: I'm absolutely sure that I'm totally uncertain. It's weird that I am less assured At 16 than at five. All I wonder now is, Will the curtain ever rise?"
