Bernice and a puppy are sitting on a town bench with Luann, as Delta approaches. Bernice says, "Hi, Delta!" Delta replies, "Hey. So who's this?" Luann smiles broadly and says, "I met a new guy, Delta." Ignoring Luann, Bernice and Delta play with the puppy. Bernice says, "This is Royce, the C.C.I. pup I'm raising." Petting it, Delta says, "He's so CUTE!" Luann says, "My new guy's cute. His name's Stuart." Bernice and Delta continue to pet the puppy. Bernice says, "He's smart, too." Delta replies, "Yeah?" Luann says, "Stuart saved my life." Bernice continues, "Watch this: Sit, Royce." The puppy sits, and Delta says, "Wow!" Now angry, Luann says, "EXCUSE ME! When did a dog become more interesting than my love life?"
