Luann, dressed up like a queen, is sitting in an easy chair. Her eyes droop. Her hand props up her head. She thinks, "Bored, bored, bored." Above her, in a somewhat decorative script, reads: Today is a sad day/A bummer, a bad day,/Teen Queen is feeling the blues/She tried the TV,/Computer, CD's/But nothing seemed to amuse. Numerous friends and family members stand in front of Luann, still in her oversized chair, trying to entertain her. She just yawns. The children's rhyme continues: She listened to singers/The jester told zingers/The juggler tossed torches of flame/The wizard did tricks/The fat guy broke bricks/The TQ was not entertained.` Luann is in front of her dad, doubled over laughing. He stands, arms crossed, irritated at his duaghter in her crown and regal dress. The poem concludes: But then came her dad/And the message he had/Made her day turn giddy and sunny/He said, "If you're bored/Clean your room! Do some chores!"/Ha Ha Ha! Dad's always so funny!
