PHOEBE AND HER UNICORN BY DANA SIMPSON Phoebe: Cloudy today. Marigold: Yes, the sky is full of selfish unicorns. Phoebe: What? Marigold: Oh, do humans not know that old unicorn story? Once upon a time, the sun shone on all unicorns equally, at all times. Blue Unicorn: Out loveliness is illuminated! Black Unicorn: Quite! Gray Unicorn: Heh Heh. But some unicorns were selfish, and wonted all the sun for themselves. So they inhaled a lot of helium and floated into the sky! Gray Unicorn 1: Whee! Gray Unicorn 2: Out roundness is lovely! There they bask in all the sunshine, denying it to the other unicorns below. Blue Unicorn: How untoward! Gray Unicorn: Ha ha ha! Phoebe: If that's what unicorns think clouds are, what do they think rain clouds are? Marigold: It is best not to think too hard about that.
