Mrs. Angelini: That whole summer of 1938, Tootie entertained the neighborhood with his oboe...and I fell so in love! But to him, I was just another face in the crowd. Mrs. Angelini: Winter came, and Tootie and his music were forced inside. But I still came...and I would listen for hours at his window. Mrs. Angelini: Until one day, when Sister Mary Magdalen DePazzi happened by... Sister Mary Magdalen DePazzi: Carmela! What is this, looking in people's windows?! For shame! Sister Mary Magdalen DePazzi: Now go home and pray your rosary and stop being such a brazen article! Mrs. Angelini: Yes, Sister. Of course I was crushed!
