Frazz by Jef Mallett Caulfield: It looks like there's going to be a Thanksgiving after all. Frazz: You sound surprised. Caulfield: Maybe I am, a little. You have to admit this hasn't been the most generous year. Everybody had their normal taken away. A lot of petiole lost a good deal more than that. They lost chunks of their education. Lost opportunities. Lost their jobs. Lost their sense of security. Lost their ability to move about. Lost friendships to disagreements. Lost friends to something more permanent. Lost where they lived. Lost their actual lives. It seems like if we have anything to be thankful for, it's simple survival. I mean, seriously, have we ever gone through a year this rough? Frazz: 1621 comes to mind. Caulfield: Oh. Right. Thanks.
