FRANK AND ERNEST Frank: Ernie is obsessed with baseball. Starting with "The Catcher In The Rye," he thinks all the books we'll be reading in our book club are about the game. Ernest: Surely Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms" is about pitchers retiring and leaving their teammates. Ernest: Maybe "The Color Purple" is about the Colorado Rockies and their uniforms. 1984 Ernest: It's likely Orwell's "1984" chronicles the Detroit Tigers' championship season. Frank: And "Gone With The Wind"? Ernest: It must be set on a blustery Chicago day with lots of home runs being hit at Wrigley Field!
