Fang: Whatcha doing, Eno? Eno: I'm writing to the good people at Webster. I'm trying to get the word "burple" accepted by their panel of linguists as a new entry in their dictionary. Fang: Burple? I've never heard of that word. Eno: I know. I just made it up. It means "gassy". As in, "no crab cakes for me, thanks." I'm feeling a tad burple." Eno: Y'see. First, I get the word accepted into the English language. Then I copyright the word, thus ensuring me a monetary stipend every time someone used it in a sentence. Fang: What makes you think people would want to use a word like "Burple"? Eno: Think about it! It's the only word that'll rhyme with purple! Eno: Imagine all the frustrated poets and songwriters who have waited for such a word! Think of the log jam of writing that'll be freed up due to my invention! I'll be rich!! Fang: Burple. Hmm... I kinda like it. Burple, burple, burple. Eno: Hey! That word's not free, y'know!!
