Becca: Can you believe this? He's doing Colbert in costume... which of them will break character first? Colbert: Nation. I hate to pick heroes - you're all heroes to me - but if the Red Rascal were a sandwich, he'd be a hero hero! He fights evil by night, blogs about it by day, and does it all in rustic garb that conceals his true identity as an ex-CIA intern! Could you possibly be more interesting, sir? Jeff: Well, that's the Red Rascal, Stephen. He's not the "real" me... Colbert: No air quotes, please, sir. Most of Colbert Nation only listens to the show while Tweeting about me. Jeff: Okay, but my point is that when you lead a double life, the private side is often misunderstood. For instance, in real life, I'll be you're fairly intelligent - not at all the obtuse wingnut people think you are! Colbert: You may have nailed me, sir. Depending on what "obtuse" means. Jeff: I new it! I do the same thing! Deliberately play dumb!
