Voice: Stop. What's your state of mind? Jeff: Hi, folks! Would-be flag-burner Jeff Redfern here! Ever wonder what would happen if the flag desecration amendment were passed? Well, first of all, we'd have to figure out just what we're criminalizing. For instance, if I tear up this paper flag, should I be arrested? Or would it depend on my intent? What about virtual flags? Jail time for online icon desecrators? And by the way, which flags are covered? Do past U.S. flags count? Can I desecrate a 49-star flag? 48-star? 13? And how about hanging a flag upside down? Pretty offensive, right? Is a flag tattoo desecration? A flag patch on the seat of your pants? How about turning a flag into a sweatstained cowboy shirt? All great questions for the Supreme Court to debate - one at a time! What could be more important? By the way, dispose of this comic respectfully - it's got flags!
