Mark (reading from Ann Coulter's book Treason): "The inevitable logic of the liberal position is to be for treason." * *pg 299) "They are either traitors or idiots, and on the matter of America's self-preservation, the difference is irrelevant." Mark: We're talking to our old friend Ann Coulter, fierce advocate of civil and reasoned discourse... Ann's latest is called "Trason," in which she denounces all liberals as traitors, right, Ann? Ann Coulter: Well, it's not just liberals. Lots of moderates are trators, too - as are conservatives who disagree with me. Treason has just gotten completely out of hand lately! Mark: Well, as I'm sure you know, Ann, under the U.S. Code, treason is a federal crime carrying the death penalty... So I take it you would argue that over half the country should be put to death? Ann Coulter: Um...wow...that's a tough one... I'm not sure... Mark: Perhaps you could ask a passing orderly. Ann Coulter: Good idea. Hold on...
