Mike: Mmm... smell that clean air... I just wish it were worth the regulatory burden. Bob Dole on television: You know, if voters have sent us one message loud and clear... ...It's that they're tired of government inspectors telling them what to eat, drink and breathe! Take spoiled meat - it costs us 4,000 lives, 5 million illnesses and over $3 billion in medical expenses yearly. But does that justify the horrific regulatory burden on the mean industry? Couldn't we live with 8,000 deaths? Or 12,000? Americans are crying out for cost-benefit ratios that make sense to business! If I'm elected, they'll get 'em! Bob Dole for president. Because we all have to die of something.
