Mike: We should do something! Zonker: Yes, some sort of gesture. Mike: But what? Zonker: How about a white-out? Mike: Hi there! You know, as busy fictional characters, Zonker and I don't ordinarily have time to help out the environment. Zonker: Until today! By way of demonstrating our commitment to a cooler planet, we've agreed to forego today's setup and punchline! Mike: By deleting the last three panes, we'll be saving tons of petroleum-based ink, thus conserving a valuable natural resource. Zonker: Also, because colored inks absorb the sun's rays and pure white reflects them, we'll be doing our part to slow global warming! Mike: Sure, you were expecting some quality humor in this space, but isn't saving the environment a little more important than a few yuks? Zonker: By using only half the space we normally book, this feature is helping to ensure a better world for all! See you next week! Wait a minute! What about jobs? The printers! The editors! The lawyers! Mike: Zonker, get outta there! You're wasting ink!
