Dick: "James Watt, born 1938... born again, 1964." Lacey: Still doing homework on Secretary Watt, dear? Dick: "Know thine enemy," Lacey. It's the only way. And the more I read about the man, the more appalled I become. Watt seems to think that anyone with the slightest concern for preserving our wilderness is an "environmental extremist." Lacey: Well, dear, that shouldn't be too surprising. Reagan's felt that way for years. Dick: Reagan? What's he got to do with it? Lacey: Watt is Reagan's man, dear. What people keep forgetting is that the Secretary of the Interior is nothing more than a conduit for the President's views. James Watt gives perfect expression to everything Reagan believes in! Dick: No.. no. Reagan can't be that insensitive. Watt must have been chosen by an assistant. Let me check... I'll bet he was appointed on a Wednesday. Lacey: A Wednesday, dear? Dick: Yup, I'm right? Reagan was out riding.
