Voice: Action! Cut! That's a take! So what's teh bottom line here, Congressman? Voice: Well, basically the Reagan policy on anti-pollution controls is to give the states increased authority to set their own standards. With federal authority dismantled, states and cities will then be free to compete for new industry by lowering their own clean-air standards! Man: And you think your district will understand this new cost of doing business? Voice: Jim, if you move your refineries into our area, I can promise you the laxist pollution controls anywhere! Man: I dunno, Congressman, that's what everybody's saying. I hear Los Angeles is even thinking of outlawing pollution devices, and Detroit may give tax rebates to major polluters! Voice: Jim, listen to me! Forget L.A! Forget Detroit! We're going to have the dirtiest air in the country! I mean, I'm talking serious health hazzard here! Man: Health hazard, huh? That's mighty tempting. Voice: Look, let me send over some air samples. Let your engineers see for themselves!
