Bernie: Zonker, with professional tanning becoming so lucrative and presitigious, how come you don't find ringers competing - you know, blacks and Hispanics? Zonker: Because tanning is judged by differential. People with dark skin don't get much darker in the sun. Bernie: Then wouldn't you say that the sport of tanning discriminates against blacks? Zonker: No more than basketball discriminates against short people. Bernie: But in competitive tanning, a person is actually judged by the color of his skin, right? Zonker: Well, sure, but... Bernie: I just think we're on thin ice here.
