Duke: Mr. Ming, I've got to be honest with you - that opera was breathtakingly boring. Mr. Ming: Too ideological, right? It's a common complaint about our performing arts... we're trying to take corrective action on this matter. In fact, I've just been appointed director of the newly formed people's council of art for art's sake. Duke: Art for art's sake?! You mean actual aesthetics?! Mr. Ming: That's right. Of course, it's only in the planning stages. We're still running feasibility studies. Duke: But... I thought Mao loathed form over content! Mr. Ming: No need to tell him - it's only for the tourists.
